In a May 15, 2014 interview, Tanvi Madan talks to Mark Goldberg from UN Dispatch about the Indian elections. Madan addresses the positive and negative issues that are associated with Modi’s tenure as chief minister of Gujarat. Madan also highlights the trends of the elections, remarking that the presidential style of election is unprecedented in India. Finally, focusing on foreign policy, she predicts how India’s relations with Pakistan, China and the U.S. would be impacted with Narendra Modi heading the new government.
